Hells Kitchen Product Placement

Gordon Ramsay is back for a 3rd season of the Hell’s Kitchen - but this time there is something new on the menu: Shoes For Crews Product Placement.
Hell’s Kitchen (FOX) takes 12 ‘would-be restaurateurs’ thru Ramsay’s virtual ‘hell’ for a chance to win the ultimate culinary prize — the coveted title of Head Chef of a new restaurant at the Green Valley Ranch Resort and Spa in Las Vegas.
The new addition to the 3rd season is a rather obvious placement for Shoe For Crews - a patented slip-resistant footwear.
From their website:
Utilizing our patented outsole technology, our footwear grips wet and greasy floor surfaces with amazing traction! You won’t see slips and falls on television, and when you join our safety team, you’re not likely to see them in your kitchen either.
The product is apparently in used by ‘over 2.5 million customers at more than 100,000 locations worldwide’ - so it would make sense that Ramsay’s staff would provide the product for the new crew.
And this is the 1st rule of Product Placement / Branded Entertainment which most brands miss — it’s got to make sense. This integration makes perfect sense.
