I Am Legend Product Placement

Perhaps the producers of this week’s Number One film I Am Legend should consider changing the film’s name to I Am a Ford Commercial as this brand has the most consistent presence throughout the film. Set in a post-apocalyptic world the entire human population has almost been wiped out, the film follows the survival of a military virologist and his co-star Ford. This film opens with a splashy chase scene featuring a fiery red 2007 Ford Shelby Mustang GT500 racing through empty and decaying New York City streets. Staying true, he also drives a roomy Ford Expedition. His brand loyalty extends to other industries as an Apple iMac, MacBook, and iPod make cameos in his home. Even in a city devoid of brand managers and strategists, brands still have the power to shape this man’s world.
